Hi Dutchess. Movies with lots of images and animations are a lot bigger than more simple basic videos. Plus the sound quality is the very best possible.

Hi OldShore! Sorry I haven't said more before now but I've only just got my computer keyboard working properly again after a couple of weeks of cutting and pasting i's, k's and commas!

Thank you SO much for the uploads of the Australian concert tracks. They are true collector's gems although I do wish we had the rest of 'Close To It All'. And even more that I knew the source of your recordings! I don't suppose you happen to remember who you originally got them from? The thing is that they suggest I was right in thinking there may still be a complete recording in existence (archived) of one of Melanie's concerts here that was filmed and never broadcast, by the ABC (Australia).

Ian - I've wanted the rest of 'Close to it All' for 30 years, which is when I was given those 2 recordings. Knowing there was once a whole concert of that audio quality, especially from that era of Melanie's career, is like chasing a lost dream now. I don't know whether there was more available from the same original source that these came from; at the time I thought it best not to ask too many questions or push too hard. I'm 99% sure that the person who passed it on kept nothing back.

Thanks for editing the 'cut away' from 'Close to it All' before you uploaded it to YouTube.

I can't/won't give the name of the person who supplied the tape to me, or who originally gave it to them. Hope you can understand that I have good reasons why I shouldn't.
