Schade. Denn alle anderen haben wirklich was verpasst.

I think this is an article/review that was in a German newspaper (and I don't think that Dia speaks German)but maybe one of the German fans could translate it for us.

From the cute hippie girl to nice hippie grandmother next door: Melanie Safka excited Metropolis also 40 years after Woodstock, the audience.

A bit of nostalgia for Woodstock anniversary year may already be even. And when Melanie Safka can ask for the Munich-visit, it still a bit surprised that only a small pile of indefatigable has found its way into Metropolis. Too bad. For all the others have really missed something.

For example, a good tidy and vocal artist, who along with her son and his girlfriend was a fine acoustic trio, full of jokes, entertainment and nice angegeschwipsten stories from the hippie era.

Melanie, now 62 years young, has further expanded and perfected her voice, also brought a lot of songs that we know in Europe is still not here. Highlights were of course the hits "Beautiful People", "What Have They Done To My Song, Ma?", "The Nickel Song" and of course the indestructible "Ruby Tuesday" by the Rolling Stones, which they in Munich in a new and very fresh version presented.

Today - 40 years after Woodstock, and an estimated 40 pounds mature - so they told they could live with the role that it had appointed for her time: She was the cute hippie girl next door, the naively of peace in the world and the sing a love of nature was allowed. Now she is the nice hippy grandma next door, which reflects on the whole, however, analyzed and clearly concludes that the spirit of Woodstock is still alive. "I've seen him, that is!"

Sorry folks, I speak German fluently but to translate from German to Dutch to English is something I have failed to do well in the past. For me it is too hard to play with three languages in my head... blush crazy

Lauren is correct, this was a review in a German newspaper: Die Abendzeitung.

Thanks, Betty for your translation but i guess it was a machine,

I didn't know that you speak German fluently, Dia...sorry about that, and how great that you are tri-lingual. (or do you know any other languages?)

Betty, thanks for giving us the translation, great review and I am sure it was an amazing show with our favorite "hippie grandma", LOL...Not sure if Melanie would like that description of herself but the review was so nice that maybe she wouldn't mind too much.

Lauren, I also speak French, not fluently but I can hold deep and philosophical conversations (at a very very very slow level) in French and read books in French. I learned ( passive) French since I was 10. English since I was 12 and German since I was 13. I wish they had taught me Spanish too. I also speak a little Italian and a little Hebrew.....
