We've just booked our tickets for the Nottingham show. Front row, centre!!

They are available through the Arts Theatre website, but only certain rows are sold online. If you want your choice of seat you need to ring the box office and book over the phone. Number is 0115 947 6096. You can get Row B online though.

Really went out on a limb here. I just purchased a ticket for row C center. OK..here's the glitch: I have never been to the UK (nor anywhere outside of continental North America), and I do not have airline reservations. Heck, I don't even have a passport! I am planning on attending a festival in Ulverston and saw that Melanie was going to be in the UK at the same time. I need some kind of rail flexi pass as I hope to travel around a bit several days (will need to get from Ulverston to Nottingham, and then from there either to London or back to Manchester area). If all falls apart I can offer my ticket to someone who can make it, but don't get your hopes too high (hee, hee)! Any suggestion on cheap hotels in Nottingham?

Paul, start IMMEDIATELY with the passport process. It took me six weeks to get mine done last year, and I hear it's still taking that long to get one. Fill out the papers, get the photos, and get your appointment made as soon as you can. I'd hate to think you missed seeing Melanie in England because your passport was still making its way around Washington DC.

Hi Bill, Mike, and Melanie! Thanks for the info and support. I was told I can get passport within 2 weeks as the backlog from a year ago is down now (probably due to the economy), even though I have to pay extra for expedited. Melanie, that hotel looks perfect! I'll be checking with them for reservation as soon as I get travel confirmation, thanks! If I end up making this concert, I had better be prepared to write an extra special review, right? LOL!

Just got an email saying this event has been cancelled and to send the tickets back for a refund. Absolutely gutted. I was going to take two days off work to travel up from the South Coast, stay over night and make a holiday of it. Not worth it now.

Me too, luckily i didn't buy tickets..i'm more than gutted
