Looking InApril 3, 2008My Dear Ones,
Word has it that an official Melanie fan club is up and running. I might join if they give you good stuff and opportunities not available elsewhere. It's also a solidarity thing. I agree with most of what I say, and I like me. I grew up in a family when it wasn't a good idea to do too well unless it was in the world of academia. Intellect and cleverness rated. Big dreams, high hopes, impulses, God forbid, showey or high profile. Not exactly. (i.e. see the movie "Once Around" with Richard Dryfuss and Hollie Hunter). I might talk more about this when the place closes later, but for now, lets just say my family would have scoffed at one joining their own fan club, as might some of you. That's ok ~ I'll join anyway. I'll be the quality control department. I've never done anything like that before. If I'm not good at it, let me know, in a nice way. I do best when I'm loved unconditionally and adored even with my flaws and imperfections.
OH! They've closed my favorite place for a private party. I hate that. Feeling excluded, dissapointed --- but wait ~ someone is gesturing me in. Oh, Oh Great ~ I'll have a glass of dry white, like a Pinot Gregio, no oak, ok? I'm going to the lively end of the room rather than the usual corner that lures me more often than not. I just got the urge to dance.
